This plant is native to the coast of Brittany, France, and is known as the "king of stress resistance" in the plant world because of its tenacious vitality. Its exposure to high salt stress and to the extreme environment of air changes caused by high and low tide for a long time makes it rich in powerful nutritional energy, ingredients with restorative and antioxidant properties: highly active flavonoids, polyphenols, amino acids, polyol fatty acids, etc. It is one of the few halophytes with the ability to regulate its own water.
